It’s Memorial Day weekend, which means it’s rodeo time.

The annual rodeo on Twin Lakes Rodeo Grounds in Winthrop kicked off yesterday by adding a category: team roping. One cowboy roped the head, the other a foot, or for more points, both feet. The fastest time won.

The rodeo also included regular events such as bull riding, barrel racing, buck horse riding and equestrian performances by Tough Enough and Renegade Cowgirls.

The event continues for round two today at 1 pm.

Here are a few scenes from the day.
