Several dozen people gathered to celebrate Arbor Day on Saturday, April 20 at Twisp Commons Park, across from the Methow Valley Community Center. Dwight Filer led the event, which started when the adjacent Farmer’s Market closed at 12 noon. The small event included free starter trees, planting a new tree in the park, and two information booths. The event was held under near perfect sunshine and temperature.
