Twisp Mayor Hans Smith administers the oath of office to Tim McGuire on Tuesday, Aug. 12. The council selected McGuire to fill a vacancy on Position 2, previously held by Aaron Studen, who resigned because he moved outside of town boundaries. McGuire will hold the position until after the election in November, when Molly Filer, who is running unopposed for Position 2, is expected to take that seat. McGuire, who is running unopposed for Position 3, is expected to move one seat over and assume that seat. Position 3 is currently held by Wyatt Lundquist, who chose not to run for re-election.
