Who are We?

We are Methow Valley community members who care about education and are concerned about academic achievement and other issues in our school district. Whether you have a school-aged child in the school district or not, we all have a stake in supporting students’ well-being and academic achievement.

Our Platform:

  • Improve proficiency in core academic subjects for all students. View our district’s academic stats here: https://reportcard.ospi.k12.wa.us/ReportCard/ViewSchoolOrDistrict/100148
  • Promote age-appropriate sex education curriculum. Our sex education curriculum should be easily accessible to all parents and community members who are financially contributing to our school district.
  • Protect girls’ sports from unfair competition by biological boys. All children deserve fair play. That means acknowledging inherent advantages biological boys have in strength and speed.
  • Promote age-appropriate literature in school libraries. We have a rating system for movies. Books containing sex and school violence are inappropriate for a young audience.
  • Recognize that parents are the primary stakeholders in their children’s lives. Support parents’ legal rights, including the right to access their child’s school medical records (barring circumstances where a child’s well-being would be put in danger.)
