That is a very high percentage in this business. This April will be two years since MVE went online. It began as a labor of love and a lot of uncertainty. I knew why I was doing it. I wasn’t sure if it would resonate with anyone else. Almost two years in, I love what I do. I feel like I’m in my lane, but also a part of something bigger. Yesterday, I received a call from a person who read my article this week about Methow Pride’s Snowball. I braced myself for a complaint. What would it be this time? Homophobia? Muckraker? Keep your opinions to yourself? It was none of these. He shared that he had the same concerns about Methow Pride’s influence on children, particularly in our public school. “So, are we two against 1700?” he asked. No, I assured him. There’s more. MVE is growing, but it also faces a fork in the road. I need to make changes, and to do that, I need your input. Please fill out this online survey, which is completely confidential and won’t take more than 5 minutes. Please don’t be one of those people that says they’ll do it later. There’s no later.
