Okanogan County Commissioners signed a burn restriction that goes into effect June 15 at 12:01 am and ends October 15 at 12:01 am. The restriction prohibits open burning of vegetation. Recreational fires used for cooking, warmth, or pleasure are allowed unless the county implements a burn ban due to an elevated fire risk. Agricultural burn permits may be obtained from the county for pest control.
