It was almost 10 years after I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science that I encountered a thought I hadn’t considered- the far-left, taken to its farthest extreme, becomes the far-right. They are two sides of the same coin. I couldn’t have imagined that this thought experiment would ever morph into reality, but welcome to Methow Valley.

Is so sad that people can be so blinded by their belief that what they believe is gospel, and there can not be another side that is worth listening to. The issue isn’t the desire to protect the rights of transgender males, but is a desire to protect the civil rights of women and girls in sports. Our women and girls have a right to participate in sports with the expectation that the field is fair and safe. Men are built differently than women, as have an unfair advantage if competing against women.
