If you’re looking for something to do Sunday afternoon, Readers’ Theater’s Now and Then at Merc Playhouse is worth attending.
The story’s moving, witty dialogue elicits laughs and… recognition. It’s a timeless tale about fate, destiny, and choice. Knowing what we know now, would we go down the same road, and at what cost?
What would we give up in exchange for gain?
Now and Then is an immersive story that draws you in hook, line and sinker.
Readers’ Theater is performed with actors reading their scripts on stage. It may sound odd, but if the script is good, the scenery becomes irrelevant. The story becomes the central element of… the story.
Cricket Whittaker, Cass Sheffler Brennand, Bill Bley and Christine Kendall perform the tale, with Ambrosia Monroe reading stage directions. The production connects on all cylinders and will provide a memorable Sunday afternoon.
Now and Then plays Sunday, April 19 at 2 pm at Merc Playhouse. Admission by donation. Doors open 30 minutes prior.

Sounds interesting!
